On a momentous occasion, Faiza Ahmad, a young chess prodigy, etched her name in the annals of the 2023 CISCE National Chess Tournament by securing a coveted spot at this prestigious event. Out of six exceptional students who had initially qualified for the regional competition, Faiza Ahmad emerged as the standout talent, earning her rightful place to compete at the national level.
The CISCE National Chess Tournament, renowned for nurturing budding chess talents, unfolded at St. Joseph’s School, Hyderabad, from September 9th to 11th, 2023. The tournament bore witness to a fierce battle of wits, where Faiza Ahmad, with her exceptional skills and strategic prowess, represented her school and region with unwavering determination.
The event featured Ms. Cholleti Sahajasri, the First Women International Master from Telangana, as the chief guest, inspiring young chess enthusiasts. Esteemed Guests of Honour included Mr. KS Prasad, President of the Telangana State Chess Association, and Dr. Godwin Daniel Athishtam, Education Officer of CISCE.
Faiza Ahmad's historic achievement in qualifying for the CISCE National Chess Tournament stands as a proud moment for her family and school. Her journey from the Zonal level to the Regionals and ultimately to the national stage was a gruelling one, marked by intense competition and numerous challenges. Her triumph serves as a testament not only to her innate talent but also to her unwavering dedication, perseverance, and relentless pursuit of excellence in the game of chess.

ASISC Chess Regionals:

Historical Achievement - Runner-Up Finish

The Mayuraites U-17 team, representing the Rajasthan Zone in the ASISC Chess Regional tournament, made history today during the event held in Gujarat. The team secured the runner-up position, marking a significant achievement.

In this regional round, there were teams from five different zones, each consisting of six participants. Laksh Parakh and Tejas Pran, students of Mayura School, represented the Rajasthan team and delivered outstanding performances, ultimately leading their team to be declared runners-up.

This marks the first time in Mayura's history that students have participated at this level and achieved such a prestigious position.

PRIDE AND SUCCESS:
 Mayura School's Achievements in Chess and Carrom

The Mayurites showcased exceptional talent and dedication at the ASISC-NWR Rajasthan Chess and Carrom Tournament hosted at Mileue Field School. Facing stiff competition from over 60 participants representing various regional schools, Mayura School's students shone brightly.

In the Chess Tournament (Zonal Round), Mayura School's U-17 Boys Category participants, Laksh Parakh and Tejas Pran, secured Regional Round berths with their strategic brilliance. In the U-17 Girls Category, Vanshika Sharma and Faiza Ahmed also clinched their spots in the Regional Round, displaying remarkable talent.

Muhammad Zaid and Pratham Keswani continued the school's winning streak, qualifying for the Regional Round in the U-14 Boys Category, further enhancing Mayura School's reputation.

The Carrom Tournament U-17 Double witnessed Mayura School's girls' team, consisting of Anushka Sharma and Manya Verma, emerging as champions. Meanwhile, the boys' team, Manan Sharma and Tanush Mittal, secured the Runners-Up position, demonstrating impressive teamwork and skill, earning them a place in the Regional Round.

Mayura School looks forward to the Regional Round in Gujarat, confident their students will continue to shine. The School celebrates its students' achievements and looks to a bright future.

Mayura School Celebrates Glorious Triumph in ASISC-NWR Rajasthan Kho-Kho Tournament

ZONAL ROUND

In a spectacular showcase of talent and sportsmanship, Mayura School achieved resounding success in the ICSE School's ASISC-NWR Rajasthan Kho-Kho Tournament (U-14, U-17) held at The Springfield School, Mansarovar, Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Our school teams demonstrated outstanding performances throughout the tournament, earning well-deserved accolades in various categories. The participants' dedication and hard work paid off handsomely, bringing immense pride to the school and its community.

Under the Under-17 category, our talented boys and girls secured the prestigious Silver Medals, showcasing their exceptional skills and determination. Their remarkable display of teamwork and sportsmanship left a lasting impression on all who witnessed their matches.

Not to be outdone, our Under-14 boys and girls also exhibited their incredible potential, with the boys securing the Bronze Medal and the girls securing another Silver Medal. Their unwavering passion for the sport and commitment to excellence have undoubtedly made us all immensely proud.

The entire Mayura School family extends heartfelt congratulations to our exceptional athletes, coaches, and support staff for their outstanding efforts and dedication. Their achievements serve as an inspiration to us all and reinforce our belief in the power of perseverance and teamwork.

 INTER SCHOOL 

Triumph at the Chess Inter-School Competition:Mayurites Shines!

Mayura School enthusiastically participated in the Inter-School Chess Competition hosted by Jayshree Periwal Global School on the 9th of August 2023,. The competition spanned two days, featuring various games and sports that brought together schools from across Rajasthan.

 

The inaugural day witnessed the active engagement of 49 schools in diverse sporting events, including chess, swimming, volleyball, carom, and more. Mayura School, represented by four adept students, showcased their prowess in the intense Inter-School Chess competition.

 

The chess event commenced at 9:00 am with a total of 16 contestants, organized into four groups, each comprising 16 students. Four chess boards were set up, and the participants were divided into simultaneous gameplay. Each contestant had a challenging 15 minutes to execute their moves, with outcomes determined either by the timer or by achieving Checkmate. The matches followed a knockout format, adding an extra layer of intensity as every defeat meant exiting the tournament.

 

The competition proved to be a stern test of skill, with each contestant exhibiting their best strategic moves. The results were nothing short of impressive, with Mayura School securing notable accolades:

 

  • Faiza Ahmed clinched the silver medal in Group B (Girls).

  • Kanaya Mohnot achieved a silver medal in Group A (Girls).

  • Varun Kumawat earned a bronze medal in Group A (Boys).

Table Tennis Individual Tournament 2023 - Results Unveiled!

In an exhilarating display of skill and sportsmanship, the Table Tennis Individual Tournament 2023 concluded on May 10th, after six days of intense competition. The tournament, held from May 5th to 10th, saw enthusiastic participation from students across various classes, showcasing their prowess on the table tennis court.
