STUDENT ARTISTRY SHINES AT CULTURAL EXHIBITION

The Art & Craft Exhibition (22 Sept 2023) inaugurated by the esteemed Hon’ble Shakti Singh Rathore, IAS-Special Secretary to Govt. Devasthan Dept., as the Chief Guest, and the distinguished Hon’ble Prem Sukh Bishnoi, IAS-Director of the Fisheries Department, Rajasthan, as the Guest of Honour, was marked as a significant cultural celebration. This extraordinary exhibition, themed around the cultural splendour of Bharat's diverse North, East, South, and West zones, served as a captivating canvas for our students' vibrant artistry and craftsmanship.
The students' artistic creations beautifully portrayed the unique specialties of various regions, showcasing treasures like 'Madhubani' paintings from Bihar, the majestic 'Shikra' from Jammu and Kashmir, and an array of handicraft items, including pottery, traditional attire, and exquisite jewellery.
Mr. Rathore, Mr. Bishnoi, and other dignitaries, along with parents, were deeply impressed by the diverse range of artistic expressions, including Folk art painting on Canvas, Mandana art, Paper jewellery, Coconut shell craft, Paper Mache, Fulkari, Handmade fans, Lipan art, Sea shell craft, Bihu craft, Jharokha, Paper japi, exquisite masks, versatile Canvas paintings, Madhubani art, Tie-dye, and Clay moulded artwork, showcased at the exhibition.
A special 'Child Prodigy' art and craft display, located at the center of the exhibition, showcased the remarkable work of the pre-primary section students. The vivid and attention-grabbing artefacts left a lasting impression on all the attendees.
Visitors had the unique opportunity to witness live exhibitions where students demonstrated their artistic processes. These interactive sessions allowed attendees to engage with students and appreciate the first-hand creation of these remarkable artefacts. The Mayura Educators were commended for nurturing such immense talent in their students.
The overwhelming appreciation from visitors and parents, who were genuinely impressed by the students' dedication and creativity, transformed this art and craft exhibition into a remarkable journey across the diverse states of India. It shed a brilliant light on the rich and varied traditions that make our nation truly exceptional. The event transcended being just an exhibition; it was a jubilant celebration of India's rich cultural tapestry.

The 41st Foundation Day Gala:

A Triumph of Legacy and Vision

Mayura School's 41st Foundation Day Celebration on August 28th marked a historic milestone, symbolizing a journey of excellence and camaraderie. The event, a testament to our esteemed organization's legacy, began with a ceremonial lamp lighting and Ganesh Vandana, setting the stage for a day of reflection and festivity.

 

Class X's Diya Verma delivered a captivating speech, illuminating the organization's journey and accomplishments, infusing the day with positivity and inspiration. The celebration unfolded with a mesmerizing array of cultural performances, featuring dance, music, and Kavvali, showcasing the diverse talents within our organization.

 

A highlight of the day was the recognition of outstanding contributions from students engaged in sports and cultural activities, with certificates and prizes awarded to commend young talents. Esteemed Dushyant sir, the Founder of the school, shared insightful talks aligned with the organization's mission, while the Director Principal's speech demonstrated expertise and provided valuable insights, fostering an atmosphere of learning and growth.

 

An art and craft activity added a creative touch, with students enthusiastically crafting colorful dream catchers. The Foundation Day Celebration not only celebrated past achievements but also served as a platform to envision a promising future.

Young Talent Dazzles at Vivek Techno School's event 'Indradhanush' 

In a colourful display of creativity, 15 students from the Primary Section of our school participated in various events at the Indradhanush hosted by Vivek Techno School, Jaipur on August 18, 2023. Designed for our youngest learners, the event served as a delightful platform for our "little Shining Stars" to exhibit their skills and imagination.
 
Tanvi Paliwal of Class II emerged as a storytelling virtuoso, securing an impressive 2nd position in the Storytelling event. Her captivating narrative prowess left the audience fascinated. Himanshi Verma of Class II showcased creativity and stage presence, earning the 2nd position in the Fancy Dress competition, adding a touch of charm to the event.
 
The competition featured a total of 8 renowned schools from Jaipur, each presenting the best talents of their young participants. Approximately 12 to 15 students from each school contributed to the event's diverse and vibrant pool of young talent.
 
Spanning events like Show and Tell, Group dance, Colouring, Origami, Storytelling, and Fancy Dress, our students not only gave tough competition but also seized the opportunity to learn and grow while engaging in friendly rivalry. The in-charge teacher and event-specific teachers were lauded for their dedicated efforts in nurturing the budding talents of our young participants. The Indradhanush event at Vivek Techno School proved to be a lively celebration of youthful creativity and camaraderie.

Jaipur Expo 2023:
A Transformative Educational Experience for 'Mayurites'

Mayurites had the opportunity to attend the Jaipur Expo 2023 on September 16, organized by the 'Parichit Foundation' in Mumbai. This remarkable educational exhibition provided a platform for students and ushered them into a world of insights into various facets of Indian industries, innovations, and organizations.

The expo provided a diverse range of learning opportunities, notably highlighting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and Startups, instigating entrepreneurial interest among students. The exploration of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)'s achievements, including GSLV and Chandrayaan missions, ignited a passion for space science. Equally impressive, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) showcased its role in defence technology innovation. Indian Oil's commitment to environmental responsibility resonated with students, fostering consideration for sustainable solutions. The expo also celebrated India's cultural heritage through handicrafts and emphasized the importance of quality standards set by organizations like ISO, Hallmark, and Trademark. Students gained insight into geological diversity and safety technologies, along with the crucial role played by the Bureau of Indian Standards in ensuring product quality and safety.

The Jaipur Expo 2023 was an immersive educational experience that kindled the aspirations of 'Mayurites.' It inspired them to envision careers in these diverse fields, nurturing a deep-seated desire to contribute to India's growth and development. This transformative encounter successfully achieved its educational objectives, leaving an indelible mark on the students and broadening their horizons in ways that will resonate throughout their lives.

HON'BLE CM ENCOURAGES MAYURITES INNOVATION

In a momentous event that unfolded on August 10th at the prestigious Birla Auditorium, Mayura School, renowned for its academic excellence, was bestowed with the distinct honour of presenting its students' pioneering science projects. This esteemed gathering, meticulously orchestrated by the Government of Rajasthan in conjunction with the Department of Information and Technology (DOIT) Rajasthan and iStart, served as an unparalleled platform for students to exhibit their ingenious scientific endeavours.


A resplendent highlight of this event was the revered presence of the Honorable Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Mr. Ashok Gehlot. His gracious participation not only graced the occasion but also added an aura of significance, underscoring the state's unwavering commitment to fostering youthful talent and propelling technological frontiers.


The Honourable CM, Mr. Gehlot, engaged in thought-provoking dialogues with the students, delving into their projects and aspirations. His pearls of wisdom resonated profoundly, igniting the spark of ambition within these budding intellects, compelling them to strive for even loftier summits in their forthcoming pursuits.


The true luminaries of the event were undeniably the students, their unwavering dedication earning them well-deserved certificates of participation. Their projects garnered accolades from the distinguished Chief Secretary, Mrs. Usha Sharma, in conjunction with Joint Commissioners and Directors from DOIT Rajasthan and iStart, further affirming the calibre of their scientific contributions.


Standing prominently at the vanguard of this assembly of brilliance were Mayura School's exceptional students Khwaish Mittal -IX, Bhavya Khandelwal -IX,, Kashish Parakh -IX, Anushka Sharma -IX, Sonakshi Chugh -IX , Vidhi Sangtani -VIII, Kamakshi Gupta -VIII, Nisha Kandpal - VIII, Vaanya Bhatia -VIII and Bhavika Sharma -VIII, who were accompanied by the esteemed mentors Ms. Smita Giri, Ms. Monika Sharma, and Shalu Kanoongo.

Mayurites Shines in Crescendo 2023 - A Virtual Triumph!

Mayura School proudly participated in the highly competitive inter-school competition (Online), Crescendo 2023, organized by Lilavati Podar High School, Mumbai. On the 29th of April 2023, our school fielded 12 students in various events, showcasing their intellect and skills in diverse categories.

 

The events included Crescendo Chronicle, Ad-Vision, Magnetic-mind, Hire or Fire, Dr. Pr. Fixit, Social Media Challenge, Recesses Consensus, and Q.E.J Express. The students, guided by our dedicated teachers, actively participated, presenting pre-recorded submissions in qualifying rounds for Ad-Vision, Magnetic-mind, and Dr. Pr. Fixit.

 

The competition, challenging the students in the realms of Economics, Human Resource, and Commerce, required them to answer quizzes and comprehend intricate topics. In Q.E.J Express, our participant excelled, reaching the top 15 in the second round.

 

Participation in Crescendo 2023 provided our students with invaluable learning experiences in Commerce and Economics. They interacted with about 70 ICSE schools nationwide, gaining insights and expressing their desire to participate in more such events in the future.

Science Day 

Inter-House Competition Unveils Young Scientists

Mayura School observed Science Day with a spectacular Science Exhibition focusing on the theme "Conservation of Energy." The event, organized as an Inter-House Competition, saw active participation from children in Classes VI to IX.

 

The young scientists crafted innovative projects covering topics such as the conservation of electrical energy using solar, wind, and hydro energy, as well as the conservation of fossil fuels and alternate energy sources. Displaying their models with confidence and enthusiasm, the students explained the concepts behind their projects.

 

These projects served not only to showcase creativity but also to instil a sense of responsibility in the students regarding the judicious use of non-renewable energy sources. The following houses received commendation for their exceptional efforts:

INDEPENDENCE DAY SPECTACLE:

Saluting the Tricolour

Mayura School celebrated the 77th Independence Day with unwavering dignity and honour, creating an unforgettable memory. The vibrant ceremony kicked off at 8 am in the school premises, drawing a vast assembly of enthusiastic teachers and students, all proudly donned in their school uniforms. The entire school campus was adorned with the proud tricolour of the Indian flag, creating a captivating sight.

The day's significance was heralded with the solemn hoisting of the National Flag by the Director Principal, a moment followed by the resonating strains of the National Anthem. The atmosphere was charged with patriotism as the school choir took to the stage, delivering a stirring performance of a patriotic song as a heartfelt tribute to our motherland, India.

Students from various classes stepped up to the podium to deliver impassioned speeches that left the audience spellbound. The event featured a compelling enactment, paying homage to the valiant freedom fighters whose sacrifices were instrumental in India's hard-fought independence struggle, captivating the hearts of everyone present.

A poignant moment arrived with a heart-touching dance performance by the students, which depicted the Pulwama attack, evoking profound emotions among the audience and showcasing the resilience and unity of the nation.

The Director Principal addressed the students with an inspiring speech, emphasizing the core values of sacrifice, hard work, honesty, and character formation as the primary objectives for every student, echoing the principles represented by the tricolour of our national flag.

The celebration concluded on a sweet note with the distribution of sweets to the students, creating lasting memories and instilling a deep sense of patriotism in their hearts. The performances were met with thunderous applause, and heartfelt congratulations filled the air as Mayura School united in a wave of patriotic pride on this memorable day.

Inter House Elocution Contest:

  A Showcase of Verbal Brilliance

"Admiration comes easy to a person who is endowed with the fine art of public speaking, who adorns common thoughts with the grace of elocution, and the elegance of style."

 

These resonant words set the stage for the captivating English Elocution Competition held at Mayura School on the 10th of May 2023. The competition, a celebration of expressive prowess, left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to witness it.

 

The competition unfolded in two riveting segments. Group A comprised Classes 6 and 7, while Group B included Classes 8 and 9. The chosen topics were thoughtfully curated - "Importance of Friendship" for Group A and "Life was better when Technology was Simpler" for Group B.

 

Adjudicating the participants involved assessing various factors, including their stage presence, voice modulation, clarity, and expressive abilities. Every child participated with unwavering zeal and enthusiasm, transforming the stage into a platform for eloquent expression. The audience was treated to a delightful spectacle, and each participant earned well-deserved praise.

CONSTITUTION QUEST: AN INTER-HOUSE BATTLE

On April 13, 2023, Mayura School hosted an engaging quiz competition centered around the constitution. This event, which brought together students from classes 6th to 8th, was organized as an inter-house competition.

With four participants in each team, the atmosphere was charged with excitement as the teams battled fiercely. The rules and regulations of the quiz were outlined at the outset, setting the stage for an exhilarating competition. The quiz comprised four intriguing rounds: a preliminary round featuring objective questions, a buzzer round for quick thinking, a rapid-fire round that tested knowledge under pressure, and a thrilling jackpot round.

The students displayed their intellectual prowess by responding cleverly to the questions posed to them. Even the trickiest questions didn't deter them, as they tackled them with confidence. This event not only provided a competitive platform but also served as an educational and enriching experience for both the participants and the students in the audience.

NURTURING YOUNG TALENT THROUGH MUSICAL THERAPY

Musical therapy ignites a remarkable initiative, providing children with an enriching avenue to explore singing, listening, playing, and engaging in creative activities. This transformative experience not only fosters their innate musical talents but also enhances their overall learning capabilities.

At Mayura School, we recognized the profound potential of musical therapy and took the initiative to introduce it to our young learners, spanning from Pre-Primary to Class 2. Under the expert guidance of Ms. Tamanna Bhanot and Ms. Priyanshi Jain, the students embarked on a captivating journey into the world of music.

During the "Little Ustaads Workshop" held on 12th of April 23, the children were introduced to the enchanting realm of 'Sargam' and had the opportunity to interact with various musical instruments such as hand bells, triangles, xylophones, maracas, and shakers. With unwavering enthusiasm, they embraced the joy of singing and skillfully playing these instruments, following the therapists' expert instructions.

What truly highlighted the power of this initiative was the way our students joyously interacted with one another. They seamlessly coordinated in musical games, shaking hands, exchanging warm greetings like ‘Namaste’, and actively participating in the immersive experience.

As the session drew to a close, a captivating story was narrated, capturing the students' interest and leaving them thoroughly enchanted.

The impact of musical therapy on our young learners cannot be overstated. It serves as a catalyst for cognitive and motor skill development, nurturing their thinking abilities and concentration. This innovative workshop has undoubtedly enriched their learning journey, reinforcing our commitment to providing holistic education at Mayura School.

DAINIK BHASKAR PRESS

Mayura School students embarked on a captivating educational expedition on May 1, 2023, as they visited the renowned 'Dainik Bhaskar Printing Press.' This excursion was far from a typical field trip; it was a thrilling voyage designed to provide students with an immersive and comprehensive understanding of the newspaper printing process.

Upon their arrival at the printing press, students were transported into a world of innovation and precision. They were welcomed into the epicentre of action, the bustling printing press area. Here, they were granted a remarkable opportunity to witness the entire newspaper printing process unfold before their eyes, immersing themselves in the sights and sounds of a meticulously choreographed symphony of machinery that left them spellbound.

What truly set this experience apart was the expert guidance provided to the students. They were treated to a detailed explanation of the paramount importance of quality control in the printing industry. Technicians demonstrated their commitment to ensuring that each newspaper rolling off the press was nothing short of a masterpiece of precision and accuracy, meeting the lofty standards expected in the world of journalism.

The educational journey extended well beyond the realm of printing. Curious students were granted a first-hand glimpse into the binding and packaging of the newspapers. They observed how the finished newspapers were methodically stacked, bundled, and meticulously prepared for distribution to eager readers throughout the region.

It provided them with an eye-opening opportunity to witness first-hand the cutting-edge technology and sophisticated machinery that powers the newspaper industry. INTERNATIONAL DANCE DAY IGNITES PASSION

The atmosphere at Mayura School was electrified as we celebrated International Dance Day on April 29, 2023, with an infectious zeal and boundless enthusiasm!

Our school came alive with the rhythmic beats and graceful movements as we marked this special day with extraordinary dance performances that took center stage during a memorable assembly. It was a day filled with joy, creativity, and a celebration of the universal language of dance.

The occasion flared up with exciting cheers at the inter-house dance competition that featured our little champs from classes 1 to 5. These talented young dancers showcased their incredible skills through a diverse array of dance forms, leaving the audience spellbound. The stage was set on fire with electrifying performances that included the mesmerizing Shiv Tandav, the graceful Japanese Dance, the iconic MJ special, and the passionate Salsa. The foot-tapping music and stunning dance moves captivated the hearts of everyone present.

The arena echoed with applause and cheers as the audience, comprising students and teachers alike, recognized the immense efforts and dedication of our young performers. Dance, as we all know, is not just a physical art form; it is a means of expressing the profound emotions that shape our lives. It has the power to rejuvenate the mind, body, and soul, and on this day, it did just that.

In the true spirit of appreciation, our Vice-Principal, Mrs. Ritu Jain, and our esteemed Director Principal, Mr. Vatsyayana Sharma, took the stage to commend the exceptional performances. Their words of encouragement and praise motivated our budding dancers to strive for excellence in future competitions.

Kaveesha House clinched the top spot, while Eklavya House secured the second position in this thrilling Inter House Dance competition.

WORKSHOP

GREENING THE FUTURE:
MAYURA'S PAPER BAG WORKSHOP SUCCESS

An enlightening workshop, hosted by THE SOFT MOVE on April 06, 2023, unfolded before the eager students of Mayura School. This transformative session was dedicated to the Paper Bag Project, aiming to cultivate action-oriented sustainable practices and combat plastic waste in our community.

In 2019, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi set the visionary goal of eliminating single-use plastic bags by 2022. However, despite the ban, small vendors continue to distribute plastic bags, creating an ongoing debate about implementation and its impact.

In response to this challenge, The Soft Move initiated the Paper Bag Project in January 2022. This innovative endeavour involves upcycling newspapers to craft eco-friendly paper bags, which are then offered to small vendors as a sustainable alternative to plastic bags, free of charge.

This remarkable initiative saw enthusiastic participation from the students of Mayura School, specifically from classes VII and VIII. They delved into the project with a passion to make a difference. The workshop equipped them with the knowledge and skills needed to create paper bags by recycling old newspapers, showcasing their commitment to sustainable living.

As they learned the art of crafting paper bags, these young Mayura students became the driving force behind this eco-conscious movement. Their active involvement not only empowered them with practical skills but also instilled in them a profound sense of responsibility towards the environment. They pledged to incorporate more eco-friendly alternatives into their daily lives, demonstrating their unwavering dedication to protect and preserve our precious planet.

Rajasthan IT Day :
Mayurites Connect with Industry Icons

During the grand celebration of Rajasthan IT Day from March 19th to March 21st, 2023, in Jaipur, Rajasthan, students from Mayura School were presented with an exceptional opportunity. This three-day event, organized by the Government of Rajasthan to celebrate entrepreneurship and youth, provided a platform for students to connect with eminent personalities and gain valuable insights.

The event, which aimed to foster collaboration among the youth, startups, investors, corporates, academia, and the public, attracted a staggering 50,000 attendees. Distinguished figures, including the Hon'ble Chief Minister, industry leaders, startup CEOs, founders, and celebrities, graced the occasion, making it a hub for networking and knowledge-sharing.

However, the spotlight shone particularly brightly on the students of Mayura School on the third day of the event. They had the privilege of engaging with a remarkable lineup of individuals, including Dr. T.N. Suresh Kumar, an accomplished ISRO Scientist; Mr. Anubhav Dubey, the dynamic CEO of Chai Sutta Bar; Mr. Indian Hacker Dilraj Singh, a renowned Youtuber; Pooja Bajaj, a passionate advocate for social and civic change with a focus on road safety; Ms. Prachee Gaur, an esteemed career coach; and Dr. Anshul Dhingra, a highly regarded coach and speaker.

These interactions provided the Mayura School students with a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights, knowledge, and motivation from these accomplished individuals.
