 Vasant Panchami Celebration 

   An Occasion of Grace and Glory  

01  February 2025

Vasant Panchami was celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm at Mayura School. The day began with a Saraswati Pooja led by the Director and Principal, joined by staff and students. A prayer song by the school choir and a speech by Divyanshi Jaimini (Class VIII) highlighted the festival's significance. The event concluded with Prasad distribution, leaving everyone joyful and inspired.

 Road Safety Awareness Drive: A Student Art Competition 

School students enthusiastically participated in a Poster Painting Competition focused on road safety, organized by Road Safety Line and Rajasthan's Road Safety Cell. Held on January 17, 2025, the event successfully raised awareness and fostered creative thinking on this crucial topic. The top 10 entries were submitted, and all participants were provided with refreshments and awarded participation certificates.

 The 40th Annual Function 

Mayura School's 40th Annual Function was held, on 27 Dec 2024, with solemnity due to the passing of former Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh, focusing primarily on achievements and awards rather than cultural programs. Additional Director General of Police, Honourable Shri Vijay Kumar Singh Ji, served as Chief Guest, welcomed warmly by staff and students. The Director Principal presented the Annual Report, highlighting academic and extracurricular achievements. The key event was the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where the Chief Guest motivated students by presenting awards for outstanding performances. Shri Vijay Singh Ji praised the school's efforts in nurturing young minds, emphasizing discipline, hard work, and ethical values. The memorable, albeit subdued, event concluded with a Vote of Thanks, reflecting the school's commitment to excellence and tradition.

 Three-Day Student Workshop: Insights for Growth 

A successful three-day (November 21st to 23rd, 2024) workshop provided students with valuable insights for personal and academic growth. Day 1 featured renowned Clinical Psychologist and founder of ‘Sachetana Wellness’ Ms. Tvishi Sharma's psychology session on exam preparation and career choices. Day 2 included Anjali Gupta's talk on life mastery (goals, discipline, time management) and a presentation by Aditya Pratap Singh Rajpurohit and Kamakshi Gupta on the Cold War and Butterfly Effect. The final day saw Bhavya Khandelwal's insightful presentation on India's journey from ancient roots to modern advancements. The interactive workshop was a resounding success, equipping students with practical knowledge and inspiration for future excellence.

 INTER HOUSE 

 School's Inaugural Yoga Competition a Success 

Mayura School's new Yoga Competition on November 23rd, 2024, successfully promoted student well-being. Participants demonstrated impressive flexibility and discipline. Kaveesha won first, Avantika second. Judges for the event, praised the students for their discipline, creativity, and dedication. They evaluated participants based on posture accuracy, synchronization, and overall presentation.

 Sports Meet: A 3-Day Triumph! 

Mayura School Jaipur successfully hosted its annual three-day Sports Meet from November 21st to 23rd, 2024, with social media influencer Mr. Shashwat Mishra as Chief Guest and Mr. Deep Singh as Guest of Honour. The event, fostering athleticism, team spirit, and enjoyment, featured an opening ceremony, a Pledge of Sportsmanship led by Sports Captain Saransh Nirmal, impressive yoga and aerobics displays, and engaging team activities. The meet concluded with competitive events, a prize distribution ceremony, and parent participation, leaving everyone eagerly anticipating next year's celebration of talent, sportsmanship, and unity.


 School Educative Excursion

As part of Children’s Day celebrations, students enjoyed fun-filled educational trips.

•12th Oct: Pre-Primary to Class II visited Nahargarh Zoological Park, explored nature, saw animals, enjoyed rides, and returned with joyful memories

.•13th Oct: Class III to X went to Maple Adventure Park, engaged in zip-lining, rope courses, and team activities, making it a thrilling day.

 

The smiling faces of children in the photograph reveal their joy and excitement. Both trips were safe, well-organized, and full of learning and fun.

 PPT competition 

8th November 2024

The Students showcased creativity and tech skills on diverse topics, evaluated on content, design, originality, and presentation in the PPT Competition, held on Nov 8. The event fostered healthy rivalry, enhanced research and technical skills, and highlighted digital proficiency. Samanvaya  House placed first, and Eklavya House second.

Mayura School hosted a lively Dandiya and Food Fest on 5th October 2024, bringing together students, staff, and parents for a day of festive cheer. The event featured a vibrant Dandiya competition, where students showcased synchronized traditional dance performances. Kaveesha House won first place, followed by Samnvaya House.

The Food Stalls offered a variety of delicious Indian and continental snacks, keeping the crowd energized. Game stalls added a fun element, while the Lucky Draw generated excitement with special prizes for winners. The first prize – a Guitar – was won by Agam Musal of Class 7B.

​

The event fostered unity and joy, leaving lasting memories for all attendees.

  Art and Craft Exhibition  

The school’s Art Club organised Mharo Rajasthan, an exhibition showcasing traditional Rajasthani art forms such as basket lamps, paper mache, cloth birds, lapen art, mandalas, Kishangarh and Pichhwai paintings, kathputli puppets, and bandhani textiles. The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Hanuwant Singh Ji Santha, President, Mayura Shiksha Samiti, and exhibited the rich cultural heritage and artistic legacy of Rajasthan with colour and creativity.

 Hindi Diwas 

A Quiz Competition "Prashna Manjari" was held for Classes VI–X, featuring four rounds: Language, Literature, Hindi Cinema, and Grammar. Students participated enthusiastically.

The Investiture Ceremony of Mayura School was held on 18th September 2024 with great enthusiasm, marking the formal appointment of student leaders for the academic year 2024–25. The event began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing wisdom and knowledge, and was graced by the School Principal and faculty.

The ceremony aimed to bestow responsibilities upon students selected as School Captain, Vice Captains, House Captains, and Activity Captains. A team of Prefects was also inducted to uphold discipline and support student leadership.

The debate showcased articulate viewpoints, critical thinking, and excellent teamwork, with two houses speaking in favour of the motion and two against it.

The topic sparked curiosity among the students, touching on themes like AI’s potential risks to employment, decision-making, and global security, as well as its benefits in healthcare, safety, and resource optimization. The audience listened intently, and the event concluded with insightful feedback from the judges and the Vice Principal, who emphasized the need for balanced use of AI in modern life.

Mayura School celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi (Sep 06)  with devotion and joy. The event featured a student speech, a classical dance, a prayer song by the choir, and vibrant cultural activities, creating a spiritually enriching experience for all.

Janmashtami Celebration

Mayura School celebrated Janmashtami (23rd Aug) with devotion and joy. Highlights included Aarti, bhajans, Jhanki displays, and a delightful dance by Pre-Primary kids dressed as Radha and Krishna. The event ended with prasad distribution, leaving a festive and spiritual vibe all around.

 Joyful Threads of Bond: Rakshabandhan  

The festival of Rakshabandhan was celebrated with joy and enthusiasm on 16th August. Children created vibrant rakhis using beads, flowers, bindis, origami, and even recycled materials. Pre-primary students enjoyed an educational movie and learned the story behind the festival. The celebration beautifully combined creativity, culture, and learning, helping students understand the significance of this cherished tradition.

 INTER SCHOOL  

 Students Shines at ‘Indradhanush’ 

The students took part in the prestigious Indradhanush Competition held on 9th August 2024,  hosted by Vivek Techno School, Jaipur. Centered around the theme “My World”, the event welcomed participants from over 100 schools, offering a vibrant platform to display their diverse talents across various creative and cultural categories.

 

Mayura students took part in a variety of events including:

  • Folk Dance: Classes 1 and 2 presented vibrant Haryanvi folk dances.

  • Poem Recitation: Students from Prep to Class 5 impressed with their expressive renditions.

  • Fun with Colours: KG students displayed creative artwork based on Indian fables.

  • Show & Tell: Class 1’s Essar Kaur gave an engaging mythological presentation.

  • Story Telling: Class 2 students narrated Panchatantra tales. Mayura School bagged third prize in this event with participants: Nitya Sharma (Brahmin), Mysha Mathur (Jackal), Precious Lodha (Tiger), and Nimrat Kaur (Narrator).

  • Fancy Dress: Aryamaan Bijarnia (KG) performed a mythological character.

The event celebrated creativity, culture, and the importance of preserving heritage through young voices.

 The School Celebrates 42nd Foundation Day 

Mayura School celebrated its 42nd Foundation Day on 16th July 2024 with great enthusiasm, highlighting its cultural heritage, academic achievements, and vision for the future. The event began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a soulful group song by students and an inspiring speech by Vidhi Sangtiani of Class 9. 

​

Cultural highlights included a mesmerizing classical dance performance blending Odissi, Bharatanatyam, and Kuchipudi, followed by a vibrant tribal dance with captivating formations. The Mayura Anthem, sung with enthusiasm, reflected the school’s shared values and aspirations.

​

The unveiling of "Into The Unknown Time", an inspiring anthology written by Bhavya Khandelwal of Class X, took place at the school. The occasion celebrated the creative talents of young authors and acknowledged the unwavering support of their teachers and families.

The event celebrated the school's legacy while looking ahead to a promising future rooted in talent, values, and creativity.

 Students Cultivate Green Knowledge in Paryavaran Quiz 

The students of Mayura enthusiastically engaged in the CISCE board's online Paryavaran Quiz, held from July 10th to 11th, 2024. This initiative, designed to boost environmental awareness, involved students from Class 1 to 10 who, as part of their registration, committed to planting 10 seeds. Under the mentorship of Ms. Priscilla, Mrs. Lucky, and Mr. Sumit, our participants demonstrated a commendable grasp of environmental conservation. All students were awarded E-certificates, reflecting the quiz's success in deepening their comprehension of crucial global and climatic changes.

 Fire Prevention Day 

14th April 2024

Mayura School observed Fire Prevention Day to promote fire safety awareness. Students learned the use of fire extinguishers, types of extinguishing gases, and locations of safety equipment in public places. They were trained to stay alert and respond effectively in emergencies, gaining practical skills for real-life situations.

 INTER HOUSE ANNUAL DECLAMATION COMPETITION 

CELEBRATING STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT AND LITERARY ARTISTRY!

The annual Declamation Competition organized by the English Department took place on May 11th.

 

The event aimed to enhance students' public speaking skills and foster a love for literature and oratory skills .Two students from each house, specifically from Classes 9 to 10, delivered speeches or recitations of famous historical addresses. All attendees appreciated the students' efforts.

​

Vice Principal Mrs. Ritu Jain, in her concluding address, praised the students' dedication and encouraged them to continue participating in such activities to improve their public speaking abilities and overcome stage fright.

 

The Samanvaya House team, represented by Tanush Mittal IX and Anjali Gupta X secured the first position, while the Avantika House team, consisting of Anvi Rajawat IX and Avneet Kaur X achieved second place.

 INTER HOUSE SINGING COMPETITION 

STUDENTS SHOWCASE VOCAL BRILLIANCE 

This year, the school unveiled a captivating addition to its inter-house activities: the Inter House Singing Competition held on May 8th, ‘24.

 

Students from various houses enthralled the audience with their singing prowess through motivational group songs. Judged on vocal quality, harmony, stage presence, and audience engagement, the competition culminated in celebrating the winners for their talents and the collaborative spirit fostered among the houses.

​

The Kaveesha House team, comprising Chitrangana Singh Rajawat VI A,  Safa Khan VI A, Shaurya Vardhan Srivastava VI B(Instrument), Bharat Sharma VII A, Navya Patni VII A,  Tammana Bano VII B, Mayank Saini VIII, Aastha Patel VIII,  Shubhra Singh Rajawat IX, Nisha Kandpal IX,  Samayara Bhatia X, achieved first position, while the Eklavya House team, consisting of Bhavya Verma VIA, Lakshita Bharadwaj VIA (instrument), Vedansh Changal VIA, Samyak Thakur VI B, Manya Sakhrani VII A, Trisha Khandelwal VII A, Aditya Sharma VII B, Sidhi Saini VII B, Aqsa Rehman VIII, Kamakshi Gupta- IX secured second place.

The event was further enriched by a special performance from Ms. Shivani Singh, the music teacher, who demonstrated professional skill and artistry.

 GREENERY DAY 

STUDENTS CULTIVATE RESPONSIBILITY AND ECO-CONSCIOUSNESS

This year, on the occasion of Greenery Day, May 4th, students were inspired by a thoughtful talk at the assembly that emphasized the importance of greenery and the role each individual plays in preserving our planet's natural resources.

​

As part of the festivities, each student was gifted a plant to inculcate a sense of belonging, responsibility, and commitment to a greener environment, as well as to nurture and care for living organisms. The students actively participated in planting trees and shrubs within the school premises, gaining practical knowledge of gardening and instilling a sense of pride and ownership in their contribution to the school's green initiative.

​

The Greenery Day celebration served as a reminder of the importance of environmental sustainability and collective action in combating climate change. The school remains committed to nurturing a generation of environmentally conscious individuals who will strive to make a positive impact on the world around them.

 INTERNATIONAL DANCE DAY 

STUDENTS DAZZLE WITH DIVERSE DANCE PERFORMANCES

Students performed on different genres of dance, showcasing the rich tapestry of cultures and movements that define humanity’s artistic expression at the International Dance Day celebrated   with great enthusiasm on April 29th. ’24.

​

The traditional rhythms of Manjeera to the boundary-pushing choreography of Michael Jackson, the grace of ballet, and the raw energy of hip-hop performances vibrated the atmosphere with exceptionally well performances and sparkling music in the competition.

It inspired all to move, connect, and celebrate the joy of being alive. The performances were commended by all present.

The performers of Kaveesha House, Samayara Bhatia  X, Arshiya Jain VII, Navya Patni VII, Yashi Jangid  VII, Aradhya Choudhary  VII, Kavya Tehleyani VI, Geashna Agarwal VI, Chitrangana Singh Rajawat VI brought laurels to their house by achieving first place. Meanwhile Iyara Jain VI, Lakshita Keshwani VII A, Divyanshi Jaimini VIII, Shaurya Saraswat VIII, Heeya  Ratanchandani VIII, Anjali  Gupta X, Kashish  Parakh X, Somya Khatri X, brought second place honours to Samnvaya House.

 MODEL UNITED NATION 

Students Tackle Nuclear War Threat with Diplomatic Strategies

The Model United Nations (MUN) simulation was convened as a significant activity at Mayura School to discuss and devise strategies to mitigate the increasing threat of nuclear war, focusing on the involvement of key stakeholders – India, China, the USA, and Russia. The simulation aimed to provide school students with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities surrounding international relations and the gravity of nuclear war. Participants represented their assigned countries and discussed strategies to mitigate the increasing threat of nuclear war.

The student delegates of India, comprising Jai Sukhlani VIII, Arsh Ahmed IX, and Aditya Pratap Singh X emphasized the importance of diplomatic dialogue and non-proliferation agreements while advocating for regional stability and disarmament initiatives. The Chinese delegates, Aishna Kaur VIII, Anvi Rajawat IX, and Bhavya Khandelwal X stressed the need for mutual cooperation and the peaceful resolution of conflicts, highlighting the principles of mutual respect and sovereignty. The USA delegates, Mohammad Zaid VIII, Vidhi Sangtani IX, and Jheel Lodha X prioritized national security interests and defence capabilities while expressing willingness to engage in diplomatic negotiations to de-escalate tensions. The Russian delegates, Disha Saini VIII, Shubra Singh Rajawat IX, and Saransh Nirmal X advocated for multilateral disarmament agreements and strategic partnerships, underscoring the necessity of maintaining global stability and preventing arms races.

All delegates unanimously agreed on the necessity of diplomatic channels to address grievances and resolve conflicts, emphasizing open communication and mutual understanding. The MUN simulation provided students with valuable insights into the complexities of international diplomacy and the urgent need for cooperation in addressing the threat of nuclear war. By engaging in constructive dialogue and exploring diplomatic solutions, delegates demonstrated the importance of multilateralism and collaboration in safeguarding global peace and security.

Samanvaya House, representing the USA, scored the highest ranking through its mindful thought, speech, and presentation, followed by Eklavya House representing India, in the second position.

 INTER HOUSE 

SCIENCE EXHIBITION

The Science Exhibition, an Inter House Project work activity for the year with the theme 'Conservation of Energy,' was held on 25th April and was commended by the esteemed chief guest, Mrs. Arshdeep Brar, the Deputy Commissioner of Nagar Nigam.

​

The students' efforts in designing projects such as the Piezoelectric device, Solar-Hydro Hybrid station, Solar car, Geothermal energy system, and Sustainable Cottage, among others based on solar energy, wind energy, and hydroelectricity, were highly appreciated. The remarkable array of ideas and initiatives underscored the students' dedication and creativity in addressing energy conservation.

​

Eklavya and Kaveesha houses were awarded first position, while Avantika and Samanvaya houses secured second position.

 EARTH DAY 

CLEANLINESS DRIVE

On Earth Day April 22nd, student volunteers cleaned Bhagat Singh Park as part of a significant Swachhta Abhiyan (Cleanliness Drive) collaboratively organized under the guidance of Jaipur Nagar Nigam to promote environmental awareness and community involvement in maintaining cleanliness.

 

Equipped with gloves, garbage bags, and other cleaning tools, 30 students removed litter and debris from the park. This hands-on activity not only helped beautify the park but also served as a practical lesson in civic responsibility and environmental care.

​

On this occasion, Mrs. Arshdeep Brar, the Deputy Commissioner of Nagar Nigam, addressed the student volunteers, emphasizing the importance of cleanliness and environmental stewardship. She highlighted the critical role of the younger generation in shaping a cleaner and greener future. She encouraged student volunteers to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives and to become ambassadors of change in their communities. Her motivating words set a positive tone for the event, inspiring participants to take proactive steps toward environmental conservation.

 RAM NAVAMI  

A Vibrant Celebration of Lord Rama's Life

​

The depiction of the life of Lord Rama, staged by the little stars of the Primary section during the Ram Navami celebration on April 16, was truly memorable, vibrant, and engaging. Meticulously prepared roles, supported by live musical performances, energized the atmosphere with thrill and excitement.

​

The kids, dressed in elaborate costumes representing the noble and righteous Lord Rama, devoted Sita, the valiant Hanuman, and the formidable demon king Ravana, brought the story to life with enthusiasm and flair.

​

Through a series of skits, songs, and dances, the students narrated key moments from Lord Rama's epic journey: from his princely upbringing to his exile in the forest, his encounters with various mythical beings, and ultimately, his triumphant return to Ayodhya after vanquishing the demon king Ravana.

​

The event was not merely a religious celebration; it was a testament to the school's commitment to holistic development, fostering creativity, confidence, and cultural awareness among its students. Their acting and singing talents, coupled with their understanding of the values and teachings embodied in Lord Rama's life, conveyed themes of loyalty, righteousness, courage, and compassion, imparting valuable lessons to the audience.

Celebrates ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ Week

Mayura School Celebrates ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ Week. The  School observed Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat week from April 15–20, 2024, highlighting the cultural diversity of Rajasthan, West Bengal, Punjab, and South India. Students of Classes I–VIII engaged in activities showcasing traditional costumes, cuisines, dialects, and information about these regions, along with insights into their IT sectors. Colorful attire, regional dishes, folk phrases, and presentations on culture and technology created an enriching experience, promoting the spirit of unity in diversity. The week-long celebration fostered cultural understanding and left students enthusiastic and well-informed.

 INTER HOUSE QUIZ-24 

OUR CONSTITUTION

The Inter-House Constitution Quiz, focused on testing students' knowledge of the Constitution, was held on April 13, 2024.

 

The highlight of the quiz was the pictorial round, which featured historical figures, important documents, and symbols related to our Constitution.

 

The final round, comprising challenging jackpot questions, was specially designed to test the depth of students' understanding of constitutional principles. This round carried extra points and offered an opportunity for teams to secure victory.

 

All house representatives demonstrated excellent participation, showcasing their enthusiasm for constitutional knowledge.

​

Eklavya House, comprising team members Samriddhi Karamchandani VB, Lakshita Bhardwaj VI A, and Trisha Khandelwal VII A attained first position, followed by Avantika House as the runners-up, with Rudrakshi Sharma VA, Shubh Bhukhmaria VIA, and Diyaan Atreya VII A as their respective house representatives.

 WORLD HEALTH DAY 

INSPIRING STUDENTS TOWARDS HEALTHY LIVING

The school celebrated World Health Day on April 6th to raise awareness among students about various aspects of health, including physical, mental, and nutritional well-being.

​

 The celebration began with a lively skit performed by students, highlighting the importance of a balanced diet. This captivating performance emphasized the significance of consuming a variety of foods to ensure proper nutrition and overall health.

 Health and hygiene sessions were also conducted, including height and weight measurements for all students to promote awareness about maintaining a healthy body weight and height relative to age and gender. These sessions emphasized the importance of self-care, healthy living, and a healthy diet.

​

 Teachers delivered informative presentations to educate students on the importance of a healthy diet, good lifestyle choices, mental well-being, stress management strategies, and maintaining good hygiene practices to prevent illness.

​

 On the day, all students brought nutritious and balanced meals to school, showcasing a variety of healthy options, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins.

​

 This celebration not only educated students about the importance of health but also fostered a supportive environment for them to adopt and maintain healthy habits.

 NURTURING EDITORIAL SKILLS 

STUDENTS SHINE BRIGHT!

Students of various category participated in Junior Editor Competition organised by ‘Dainik Bhaskar’ and result declared on March 31, 24. This competition, aimed at nurturing young talent in the field of editing and journalism, witnessed remarkable success from the students of Mayura School.

​

The Junior Editor 7 contest was held by the ‘Dainik Bhaskar’ team for the school students where nearly 4000 students from different states in India participated.  Out of 20 participating students from our school, 4 students grabbed the position in three categories at the School Level.

 

In Category -1 class 4,5,6 - Baani Preet Kaur and Shaurya Vardhan Srivastav won at the school level.

In Category -2 class 7-8 - Ashmin Kumar won at the school level and, 

​

in Category -3 class 9-10, Avneet Kaur won at the school level. Also at City Level, Avneet Kaur has been selected for third position and has been awarded a certificate and a smartwatch for her commendable performance. Her entry is selected for judgment at State level.

​

The diligent efforts and exceptional skills of the students from The School did not go unnoticed. These entries by the students stood out amidst stiff competition, reflecting their creativity, attention to detail, and command of language. The experience gained from working on the school's editor board – ‘Mayura's Aura’, undoubtedly played a crucial role in honing their editing abilities, giving them a competitive edge. The school E-magazine served as a catalyst for their success, offering a platform for students to refine their skills, express their creativity, and showcase their talents to a wider audience.
